The vision of the Westside Ukulele Bash is to rejuvenate the love for Ukulele in our youth, create a space for students to express themselves and develop their talents, and to build self-esteem and confidence in our youth by giving them a skill to share and a positive outlet. We invite after school programs, charter schools, public and private schools, and youth organizations to participate in this free event that includes masterclass workshops, master builder workshops, a live student performance, and a live professional performance to inspire the youth to attain higher levels of musicianship.
We are so grateful for our our sponsors The Resort Group and The Ukulele Guild. We've had three years of wonderful concerts and an increased number of students playing the Ukulele because of this community event. We've hosted artists such as Kalei Gamiao, Karly G, Honoka & Azita, Shota Oba, and Roman from Kolohe Kai. We've given away fourteen ukuleles to date and want to thank Kamaka Ukulele, Valley Made Ukulele, Leolani & Kumu Ukuleles, and Kanile'a Ukulele for always supporting our events and inspiring the next generation of ukulele musicians!
Register your school by October 1st to participate in this awesome opportunity! The afternoon starts with student workshops from 4-5pm, dinner for all schools registered from 5-6pm, student performance from 6-7pm, and a special guest performance at 7pm with an ukulele giveaway!
